Xtreme Travel Xplained

Amber

June 18

Here is the log of our flight trip through my eyes:
-David not given a seat then he was sent to the back of the plane.
-We learned plane like a ship with out starboard side or port side bridge and aft (Grandpa Merl would be proud).
-Thailand 12 hours away, don't even have to change watches.
-Movies in French, German, English. Sorry Abigail, not Spanish.
-Nice traveling by Japanese (so small) people.
-Fly over Alaska/Russia not Hawaii, bumner!
-Return to seat, stay buckled, flights don't encourage much for the social hour.
-While reading the Posionwoodbible I learned, God didn't make ready made meals that just pop out of the ground, we have to plant seeds having patience and endurance that they will grow, sorta what you learn on an extraordinary long flight!
- When playing UNO, watch out for 5 yr old proud card thieves.
-Stewardess will back you up even if it makes the girl (cry) enough to bring her mom running.
- If you start to laugh, watch out for the wrath of Chinese by an elderly women wearing her sleeping glasses.
-Tokyo--Watch out for the high tech toliets (thanks for the hint Angela!)
-Everything from music flushes, deodorizers, bad-ays (bidets)  & ya don't even have to pay for the pleasure of it all. They are super sweet (though I was told the guy's side was a little more messy)!
-Almost there, 6 hours left to go...SLEEP!!...but we all have our own TV with music, games, and movies, so much to do, sleep will come later!
-The passport/custom check in Thailand was a breeze
-We went to the bathroom and all of us forgot to put toilet paper in the bucket.
-We exchanged money to baht
-There was a warning about left side driving but we still forgot and went to the wrong side of the van
- All in all I am already impressed with Thailand and the modernness of Bangkok like putting your key in the wall to get lights and cool air!
-Karen and Jayme also had a pretty great story about creepy crawlies but you can let them tell ya about them

With my many hours on the plane I got some ideas of what I think Thailand will be like:

~The food will be better than plane food
~free to roam around
~NO Seat-belts
~Sunshine even if it is the rainy season
~Not super cold
~yummy fresh fruit
~God @ work
~a land of beauty and charm
~hidden difficulty and obstacles.
~still thinking and pondering! ;-D

Guess we'll just have to wait and see! Serving with you in Christ and trying to love every step of the way!

Thanks,

Amber Lehman

Amber,
Great listing! I think that sure gives a great "view" of what you are anticipating.
Many blessings!
