Today is my 26th birthday! And to celebrate, we kicked back and relaxed, waited for our clothes to dry and used the Internet a bit. But the best was the dinner we had in celebration of my birthday which was cooked by the lady of the house with the help of Michael and Amber. The meal consisted of rice (of course), chicken (which we were missing), salad, corn, freshly made lemonade and a fruit salad made of watermelon, cantaloupe and dragon fruit. It was delicious and nutritious! And so what we needed to end the day relaxed. For dessert, Michael prepared a pie and I had my birthday cake. I also got a card and a birthday poem written for the girls, that made my day. After dinner we got an Xfile that told us to watch a video about the Free Burma Rangers which is a group that helps people who are fleeting from the Burma Army. This group helps the in various ways (medicine, food, etc.). This was in preparation for what we could only guess we'd be doing the next day, which means we are going to the jungle...we think. Thanks be to God for one more year of life and that I got to spend it with new friends although I miss my family and friends back home.
