The morning started out on the right foot with a more western style of breakfast complete with bacon, omelets, fruit, toast, french toast, leeche juice and much more. Trust me, we joined the land of smiles after that meal. Although some of us had had a rough night battling American style food again, we all kept our breakfast down as we walked through the living market with the pleasure of buying a bag of live frogs, eel swimming in a bowl, turtles, fish with their insides hanging out or Mike says he saw a fish the size of Jayme! Being content with only buying some yummy fruit, we moved on to the next market. It was right next to the Friendship Bridge which more pertains to the actions taking place below the bridge. On top is the official border crossing between Burma and Thailand, but underneath is the black market. You can get all kinds of things. Many people even live and open shop in this no-man's land. We also witness people paying a fare to be carried over the river in a giant inner-tube. Man, they pack those tubes full, too. After watching some illegal actions, we decided to make some legal purchases at the market a little ways away. We stopped for a quick bite before heading to IOM (International Organization for Migration) which is where refugees are taken from the camp and orientated before going to the U.S. One couple was prevented from going to the U.S. because the wife went into labor at IOM. Our group had mixed emotions on the ride home, but had a chance to talk them out later. For supper we again went X-treme witnessing the polar opposite and going to a posh restaurant which can only be described as a clean jungle without bugs or leeches. Everything was made from beautiful old trees, even in the bathroom and if that was not enough there were gorgeous waterfalls and fishes in every nook and cranny. Of course the rushing water just made you want to visit the bathrooms more, but it was still totally enjoyable. Igna finally got her coconut ice cream, which she loved. We picked up our now lovely smelling laundry and partied in Duane's room to talk about the day. I of course literally had ants in my pants so my party had a little more dancing then just talk, It was sure good for a laugh. We are off to Bangkok bright and early tomorrow, so we sorted out our missing laundry and packed our bags. Nalagay!! (Karen good night!)
