Today is our last full day here. We've wrapped up all of our planned activities on the Thailand side so we spent most of the day together, as a team.
This morning, we read the passage in John 13 where Jesus washes the feet of the disciples. We followed His example by washing each other's feet and sharing in communion before we spent time preparing presentations to bring to the Karen churches in St. Paul and the World Mission Conference in Oregon.
After spending some time working on presentations, we decided that we should use some of this day to see a little bit more of Bangkok before we left and finish some shopping. A few of us headed downtown, where we were very excited to witness a Thai "boy band" show! It was nothing less than wonderful....definite proof that all junior-high girls being "boy-crazy" is a universal thing!
We met up with the rest of the team for dinner at one of our favorite Thai restaurants and now we are all preparing for our 3:30 a.m. trip to the airport! We have had a wonderful time here in Thailand. We are sad to leave, but so excited to go home, united as a team to share with all of you the stories of the beautiful people that we've met. We hope that God will use these stories of great joy and great heartache, but most importantly great faith to touch and inspire your lives like it has impacted ours.
Please pray for safety and for everyone's health to continue to improve as we travel back to the states tomorrow!

Dear Xteme Teamers,
I have been following your journey as much as possible but this is the first time that I have had wireless connection in more than a week to make a comment. I am traveling from the American Baptist Youth Gathering in Estes Park, CO to the WMC in Oregon taking some vacation time in between.
God is in your midst and is working in your hearts! As Area Director for SE Asia, your experiences have special meaning for me. In 1970, I had a somewhat "extreme experience" going with the Eastern University choir to Haiti and it changed my life forever. Through that experience, God called me to full-time missionary service (Japan for 22 years and now in my curent capacity) and it has been an exciting, wonderful, fulfilling life for me. You may or may not get the same call as me but please know that I am praying that each one of you will come to understand what God wants you to do with what He has (and is) teaching you as an "Xtremer." Be brave, step out in faith, and I promise you that if you take the challenge God is presenting, your life will be the most satisfying adventure you can imagine. Blessings to you all!
